Chad R. Diehl, Ph.D.

Chad is a scholar of Japan specializing in twentieth-century history and literature. He has published three books, including a monograph, edited volume, and collection of translated poetry, and several articles in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. His work has also appeared in popular publications such as TIME magazine. He is currently writing a book about the role of Christianity in the democratization process of Japan after the Second World War.
