Chad R. Diehl founded EoC Publishing in summer 2010 in order to publish a collection of tanka poems written by Yamaguchi Tsutomu, a man who experienced both of the atomic bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. Chad lived with Yamaguchi for two months in the summer of 2009 in order to translate the poems, gaining valuable insight from Yamaguchi himself about the meaning and significance of each poem.
